He enjoyed watching the action of his grandson's hockey games and the sophistication and beauty of his granddaughter's dance recitals. He also coached youth baseball for the Fremont Recreation Department, many times after working a full day. He did whatever was necessary to make sure horse shows were attended and went off without a hitch. Larry supported his children and grandchildren's activities when they were growing up by serving as the President of the Parent Teacher Organization at Atkinson Elementary School. ![]() He was also a past member of church council serving as a Deacon and a Trustee. Larry also officiated high school basketball for many years, often times after working a full day. He was a member of the Carpenters Union Local 2239 for many years.
